Affiliate Marketing Magic - Creating your own product (Page 2 of 2)

Discover the crucial steps to Making Affiliate programs pay even if there are hundreds of other people competing with you for profits.

You see sending people directly to one of your affiliate sites for the most part is a waste of time. A complete waste of time. And hey did I mention that it's a waste of time? It's what the majority of your competitors do and exactly what you shouldn't be doing.

    The reason is simple.

The top affiliates don't do it. They know that if they just send traffic away then it's probably gone for good. You see it all the time you read a newsletter. You see ads all over the place sending traffic directly to the affiliate sites people are promoting. They actually spend money to send traffic away from their sites. Traffic they will never see and never be able to use to their advantage.

Let me ask you ... "Do you really like the idea of spending $30 or more on an ad just to send people away from your site just hoping to make sales?"

    Or ...

"Would you rather spend that same money to get people on your list with the ability to contact them over and over anytime have other products to promote?"

Instead of sending people away from you which is not the way to go you want to bring people in and "trap" them so they will have to listen to what you want to say or remove themselves from your list.

There are two main ways you can do this.

  • You can link your ad to a page on your site that you've set-up for the sole purpose of getting people to request a free report from you by joining your mailing list. The page should be virtually empty and very focused on the one thing you want your visitors to do. Join your list in exchange for something free.

  • You can link your ad directly to an autoresponder. This works well because the people who see your ad already have their email client open so they can get your Free Report in a matter of minutes without having to go to a website. It's the easiest way for your potential customers to go.

You will want to test both methods to see which one gives you the best response to your offer. When you link to a special page you setup on your site you will have less people checking out your offer as opposed to offering a free report directly from an autoresponder.

I personally prefer to link to my site because if someone isn't motivated enough to go to my site then they probably aren't good candidates to buy what I'm selling. That's my personal opinion. You have to find out what works best for you.

Generally, when I advertise a higher-priced product I make people go through a little more to get information on what I'm offering to kind of Screen out the tire-kicker.

When you're selling something for $50 or less your ad should link directly to an autoresponder for more information because you'll get a lot more people requesting information. A product you sell for $50 or less wouldn't get as much resistance as a higher-priced product so you want to get the highest response possible.
